Solicitor Apprentice

Isobel McCluskey

My legal background, prior to becoming a Solicitor Apprentice in the Medical Negligence team, enabled me to build up a wealth of high-quality industry knowledge and experience.

I spent six years as a Litigation Paralegal, mainly specialising in Finance Litigation & Insolvency and developed a strong skill  set in relation to navigating the civil court procedure and working efficiently to tight deadlines in a high-pressured environment.

I really feel that my personality is reflected in the work I do now in the Medical negligence team, which I take great pride in and find incredibly rewarding. When working with our clients, I am able to show compassion to those who need it most, which is an attribute of mine that particularly shone through during the many times I spent volunteering with the sick, elderly and visually impaired in Lourdes, France.

When our clients make initial contact and entrust us to take on their case, it tends to be at a point in their lives when they feel most vulnerable and let down and are seeking our expertise. They may be undergoing intense medical treatment, grieving a loved one who has died prematurely as a result of negligent harm, or been traumatised as a result of medical negligence. I have a huge sense of responsibility and commitment in representing our clients.

Whatever your circumstances, you will be treated with the upmost respect, dignity and sensitivity by Fiona and I, throughout your case. We understand that the legal process can be daunting at first and it is our aim to provide reassurance that you are in very capable hands and ease the pressure on you as much as we can, when pursuing your claim.

Fiona and I will meticulously scrutinise the evidence, as a team, working closely with you.  It is really important to us to hear your version of events and the impact that the negligence has had, as it is our job to get the best possible outcome for you and maximise the value of your injury and financial loss and ultimately achieve justice.
