Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation is the process or improving your day to day life by increasing your ability to carry out day-to-day activities and reducing pain or restrictions following an injury or illness due to medical negligence.

Physical rehabilitation focuses on enhancing or restoring function and quality of life by rebuilding strength, power and agility, whilst reducing the impact of any ongoing physical restrictions or disability through therapies, treatments, aids and equipment.

Psychological and emotional rehabilitation includes addressing psychological or psychiatric injuries such as anxiety, depression or post-traumatic stress disorder. This may be in the form of cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness or other psychiatric therapies such as counselling.

Workplace rehabilitation

Workplace rehabilitation assists those who have suffered an injury or illness to return to work or find alternative employment.

Social rehabilitation

Social rehabilitation covers any leisure or social activity and involves rebuilding confidence to enjoy a previous hobby or begin attending social events again. This allows people to reintegrate themselves, prevent feelings of isolation and improves quality of life.
